Tuesday Lent Course

 23rd February – 23rd March

2.30pm at Cockington Vicarage

We are using the York Lent Course ‘When I survey… Christ’s Cross and ours.’  The Revd John Bell from Iona and General Sir Richard Dammatt (until recently head of the British Army) will be guiding our thoughts.  I do hope you can join us.  Pamela.

Christian Aid Lent Lunches

The weekly Friday Lent Lunches will start on 26th February from 12noon – 1.30pm in the Frances Norrish Room. 

This is an important part of our Christian Aid yearly contribution. 

Anyone who has a couple of hours to spare to help on any Friday morning please contact Ann Gubbin (522295).

We Guarantee food and fellowship.

Passion For Life Mission

This is a wonderful opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus.

Passion for Life DVDs and prayer leaflets will be distributed to members of our congregations in the weeks before.  Do take one and watch it!  We also have copies of St Luke’s Gospel to give out.

St Paul’s Players

There is to be a new group starting at St Paul’s by Mary Kilby (from the choir) called ‘St Paul’s Players’.  The aim is to produce an ‘old time music hall’ sometime in the spring or Whitsun.

The group will meet weekly on Mondays for rehearsals from 6pm – 7pm in the choir vestry.

All ages and talents are welcome to join.

If you are in need of a lift to church, or can offer a lift to anyone needing one in your area, please put your name and telephone number on the sheet in the porch.

 


For The Benefit Of Hearing-Aid Users

The church is fitted with a loop system.  This will be heard to best advantage in the pews in the area between the rows of pillars (rather than the chairs in the side aisles).  If there is any problem with volume or audibility please consult the sound system operator.
